Winnsboro Prepares for Annual Holiday Open House Festivities on December 6

Winnsboro Gears Up for a Festive Celebration!

Hey there, residents of Winnsboro! The holiday spirit is about to reach new heights as the Fairfield County Museum opens its doors for the much-anticipated annual Holiday Open House. Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 6, because from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., this charming event promises to bring joy and cheer to everyone who attends!

Deck the Halls with Local Flair

Prepare to be enchanted as the museum transforms into a winter wonderland! Thanks to the talented folks from the town’s three garden clubs – the Anemone Garden Club, Town & Country Gardeners, and Winnsboro Garden Club – the space will be decked out in gorgeous, traditional live holiday greenery. Just imagine walking into a room filled with the fresh scents of pine and holly – it’s the perfect backdrop for a delightful evening.

Musical Treats to Lift Your Spirits

What’s a holiday celebration without some good tunes? This year, the entertainment lineup is sure to keep your toes tapping! Get ready for the delightful harmonies of the Carolina Blue Grass Band. Expect some toe-tapping bluegrass music that’ll make you want to get up and dance! Additionally, you won’t want to miss Kelley Lannigan, a talented vocalist whose lovely voice will fill the air, and the gifted Nancy Owen, a guitarist and songwriter who will enchant the audience with her melodies.

If that’s not enough, several budding pianists from Laurens Livings will showcase their talents, providing a range of musical treats for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re a fan of classic holiday tunes or a catchy bluegrass number, there’s something for everyone at this wonderful gathering.

Taste the Holiday Cheer

As you soak in the tunes and breathtaking décor, you’ll also have the opportunity to indulge in a traditional holiday feast! The museum’s elegant dining room, dating all the way back to 1830, will be serving up a mouthwatering array of refreshments. This feast will be prepared by the culinary wizards from the Fairfield County Historical Society and the Fairfield County Genealogical Society. So come hungry – you won’t want to miss out on such delicious offerings!
