Valdosta Resident Named to USC Sumter President’s List

VALDOSTA – A Valdosta resident has been recognized for their academic excellence at the University of South Carolina Sumter, being named to the Spring 2024 President’s List.

Alison Taylor, hailing from Valdosta, GA, was among over 50 students who achieved this honor in the Spring 2024 semester. To make the President’s List, students must maintain a perfect grade point average of 4.00 on a minimum of 12 credited semester hours from the previous semester.

Located about 45 miles east of the capital of Columbia, South Carolina, USC Sumter has been a University campus since 1973 with an enrollment of approximately 1,600 students per academic year. The institution offers two-year associate’s degrees and also provides baccalaureate degree programs in nursing, education, and business through USC Aiken. Palmetto College offers over 20 bachelor’s degrees that can be completed on the USC Sumter campus.
