Columbia’s Robinson Room Reopens with New Location and Exciting Menu Updates!

Columbia Welcomes Back the Robinson Room!

Hey there, Columbia residents! We’ve got some exciting news to share that’s sure to sweeten your day. After a brief hiatus, the beloved dessert and cocktail bar, Robinson Room, has made a fabulous comeback at a shiny new location on Main Street! The restaurant reopened its doors on November 7 at 1625 Main St., just a hop, skip, and a jump away from its former nest across the street.

A Sweet New Spot

So, what’s the scoop on this new location? You’ll find the Robinson Room nestled comfortably between the chic Grand on Main restaurant and the adorable boutique bowling alley, as well as the ever-popular Sweet Cream Co. ice cream shop. Talk about a sweet spot for a night out! When our eye-witness reporter swung by on the morning of the grand reopening, they spotted a big, bright banner letting everyone know the news—definitely hard to miss!

The Buzz Is Real!

Robinson Room, which is proudly part of the LTC Hospitality Group—owned by the influential Middleton family—has become quite the hot topic around town. This family-owned collective is responsible for several tasty establishments in the Main Street District, such as The Grand on Main, the upscale dining experience at Smoked, Hanabi Hibachi and Sushi, and Chapin’s 518 Smokehouse. With a reputation like that, it’s no wonder that people are buzzing about the Robinson Room’s return!

New Flavors Await

But every good comeback has its twists! While Robinson Room has reopened, they’re still fine-tuning the details of their new setup. In a cheerful post on social media, they admitted, “While Robinson Room makes its return, we’re not quite finished with our glow up just yet — but couldn’t keep your favorite cocktails and desserts from you!” So, what can you expect? Get ready to tantalize those taste buds with some new savory tapas, delightful desserts, and an all-new fall cocktail menu that will make your evenings even more enjoyable!

The Journey So Far

Now, here’s a little backstory for those who might be curious about the Robinson Room’s journey. Originally, it had its home on the lower floor of the Grand on Main. Then, in the spring of 2023, it made the move to 1614 Main St. but had to say goodbye to that spot in mid-October. And now? They’re back in the spotlight at their new and improved location!

What’s Happening at LTC Hospitality?

This reopening is just part of a recent whirlwind of activity for LTC Hospitality and their Middleton-owned businesses in Columbia. Just recently, the long-loved Good Life Cafe, previously located at 1614 Main St. and moving to 1216 Taylor St. this past spring, announced its closure. Meanwhile, LTC has also unveiled a brand-new breakfast and lunch spot called 1624 Bistro, located just down the road at—you guessed it—1624 Main St.

Looking Ahead

In a bit of brewing news, Peak Drift Brewing, co-owned by Greg Middleton and Sara Middleton Styles, has opted to shift plans for a previously announced taproom at their facility at 3452 North Main St. Instead, they will focus on production and distribution of their delightful beverages from that location, with their official taproom now being hosted at Smoked. So, whether it’s dessert, cocktails, or craft brews, it’s an exciting time for foodies and drink lovers in Columbia!

Join the Celebration!

If you’re as excited as we are about the Robinson Room reopening, why not grab a few friends and check it out? With new flavors and a cheerful atmosphere, it’s sure to provide evenings full of sweetness and fun. Columbia, let’s show our support for this local gem! Cheers to dessert, cocktails, and a lively night out on the town—Robinson Room is back and ready to serve!
