Exciting new dining spots are emerging in Lexington.
Lexington, South Carolina is set to welcome exciting new dining options with the upcoming openings of Wingstop and a modern steakhouse. Wingstop will feature a variety of chicken dishes and is under construction at Town Square Shopping Center. Meanwhile, the modern steakhouse, set to replace Alodia’s Italian Restaurant, aims for a January 2025 opening, boasting hand-cut steaks and a stylish atmosphere. Both establishments promise to enhance Lexington’s culinary scene.
Lexington, South Carolina is buzzing with excitement as two popular dining spots are gearing up to make their grand entrances. First on the list is the much-anticipated Wingstop, which is set to open its doors at 736 W. Main St. in the vibrant Town Square Shopping Center. This hotspot is conveniently located next to a Food Lion grocery store, ensuring that your wing cravings can be easily satisfied after a grocery run!
The construction for Wingstop is currently in full swing, as reported by Lexington’s planning and zoning documents released in August. Residents may have noticed a building permit displayed prominently in the window of the space that was once home to Cricket Wireless. Despite not having a specific opening date announced just yet, folks are already counting down the days!
Wingstop, known for its tantalizing array of chicken offerings—including crispy wings, boneless wings, tenders, and delicious sandwiches—boasts an impressive variety of sauce flavors like lemon pepper, mango habanero, and hickory smoked barbecue. With nearly 2,000 locations coast to coast, it’s no wonder the Lexington community is eager to dig into those mouth-watering bites. Nearby, you can also find Wingstop locations in West Columbia, Irmo, and Columbia.
The Town Square Shopping Center is not just about Wingstop! Besides the grocery store, the center is home to several beloved local businesses, including RF’s Corner Grill, Musician Supply, Terry’s Barber Shop, and Black Tiger Tae Kwan Do. And right across the street, you’ll find Lizard’s Thicket and the Lexington County auxiliary administration building. With approximately 47,000 cars passing through that section of W. Main Street each day, there’s no shortage of foot traffic or potential new customers ready to enjoy some fantastic meals!
With Steve Cook, Joe Walker, and Ryan Jones at the helm, patrons can expect a dining experience that reflects quality and creativity. Cook, the owner of esteemed restaurants like Saluda’s and Il Bucato Pizza, brings a wealth of experience to the table. Walker, a U.S. Army combat veteran, runs multiple business locations, including Marco’s Pizza and Molto Vino. Jones previously managed Columbia’s Hall’s Chophouse, giving him valuable insight into upscale dining.
This modern steakhouse plans to provide a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere, complete with a spacious main dining area, private dining options, and outdoor seating available all year round. The menu will feature hand-cut steaks, homemade pasta, fresh seafood, and incredible seasonal dishes using only the finest ingredients.
The renovations are already underway to preserve the historic charm of this new location. Renowned Boyer Construction is on the job, while top-notch designer Ashley Scott St. John of 1×1 Design is crafting an inviting and stylish interior. Stay tuned as more details, including the steakhouse’s official name and its tantalizing menu offerings, will be unveiled as renovations progress!
Lexington is set to transform into a true culinary destination with these exciting additions. So, are you ready to dig in? The stage is set for some delicious new dining experiences right in your backyard!
