Phoenix Baseball Quartet to Participate in MLB Draft Combine

PHOENIX – Eli Jerzembeck, Eli Jones, Roman Kimball, and Cole Messina from the University of South Carolina baseball team have been selected to participate in the 2024 MLB Draft Combine. The event will take place from June 18-23 at Chase Field in Phoenix, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The combine will bring together 319 draft-eligible prospects, giving them the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of big league general managers and scouting directors. Participants will undergo a series of medical and Prospect Development Pipeline (PDP) performance assessments, along with educational programming to help prepare them for potential careers in professional baseball.

One of the key highlights of the combine will be a pro-style showcase workout, as well as strength and PDP performance assessments for all players in attendance. The four Gamecocks will be joined by signees Brandon Clarke, Beau Hollins, Carson Messina, and PJ Morlando in Phoenix.

The 2024 MLB Draft Combine will be televised on MLB Network starting at 1 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday. Following the combine, the 2024 MLB Draft is scheduled to take place from July 14-16 in Arlington, Texas.
