Coroner Fisher Identifies Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Charleston Highway

Tragic Incident in Lexington County Claimed the Life of a Local Resident

In a tragic turn of events in Lexington County, South Carolina, a pedestrian who was struck by a car and killed while crossing Charleston Highway has been identified by Coroner Margaret Fisher. The Collision between the vehicle and the pedestrian took place on Monday night in the 2400 block of Charleston Highway, located in the Cayce area of Lexington County.

Death on Charleston Highway

The deceased, Mr. Brett Sterling Lamb, aged 40 and a resident of Cayce, was crossing the Charleston Highway at around 8.20 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound. Mr. Lamb was declared dead at the scene as a result of the injuries he suffered in the collision.

According to the information provided by Coroner Fisher, the driver of the vehicle involved in the incident remained at the scene and did not sustain any injuries.

Investigation

As of now, the ongoing investigation into this incident is being jointly conducted by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the Cayce Police Department. It aims at uncovering more details pertaining to the events leading up to the collision. Despite the identification of the deceased, the circumstances that encouraged the tragic event are still unclear and require further examination.
