Nikki Haley Stimulates GOP Campaign with Bus Tour Stop in Newberry, South Carolina

“One fella left to go”: Nikki Haley’s bus stop in Newberry ahead of GOP

Newberry, South Carolina

The bucolic city of Newberry, South Carolina, received its fair share of political attention over the weekend, as it was the first scheduled stop on Nikki Haley’s South Carolina bus tour. Haley, the former South Carolina governor and United Nations ambassador, is back on the campaign trail, refusing to shy away from the issues at hand.

Focus on the Primaries

Looking ahead to the forthcoming GOP primaries, Nikki Haley took the opportunity during her Newberry stop to remind the gathered voters that their votes hold the future of the race. “We started with fourteen people in the race we defeated a dozen of them we just got one fella left to go,” said an energetic Haley. Not backing down, she further added, “In a general election we’re given a choice. In a primary you make your choice. We need everybody to vote in a primary.”

Rivals on Radar

Firing up the crowd, Haley did not hesitate to name her opponents, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, raising concerns about their suitability for another term. “Majority of Americans disapprove of Joe Biden, majority of Americans disapprove of Donald Trump. Do we want to have the two candidates running for president to be two men in their 80s? We need someone who can put in eight years, go in, clean out the D.C., clean out our government, and get the job done,” Haley eloquently presented her case to the voters.

Endorsements for Haley

The former South Carolina governor has garnered considerable support from her home state. Brenda Murray, one of her supporters, expressed her enthusiasm for a potential female president. “First of all, she’s a woman. I’m so glad to even think we could have a woman in the White House. She also has a lot of energy and common sense, and we need a lot more common sense,” Murray said.

South Carolina Congressman Ralph Norman is also behind Haley, asserting that he knows what she could accomplish for America based on her track record in the state. “I just know what she can do. What she did for this state she can do for America. If we lose this election, and it is going to be close, we lose America and Nikki can win,” he opined.

Haley’s State Tour

Newberry was merely the beginning for Haley, with other destinations such as Orangeburg, Greenwood, and Lexington on her itinerary. Whether she manages to secure the nomination depends on the primary voters, but one thing is evident; Haley isn’t backing down anytime soon and is determined to make her case in every corner of South Carolina.
