Whataburger Set to Open New Location in Columbia with Free Food Giveaways and Celebrations

Columbia, Get Ready for a Burger Blast!

Well, hold onto your hats, Columbia! The renowned Whataburger chain is making its grand entrance this coming Monday at 11 a.m. The new spot, located at 202 Bridgeberry Lane, is just a hop, skip, and a jump off the Killian Road exit of I-77. And let me tell you, the excitement is palpable!

The Big Day

What’s on the agenda for this much-anticipated opening? The very first two guests in the drive-thru lane will snatch a whopping free Whataburger for a whole year! Yes, you heard that right! So, if you think you can handle the competition, make sure you arrive early to claim your prize. Additionally, the first person to walk into the dining room will also receive a whole year of delicious Whataburger! The fun doesn’t stop there— the next 100 customers won’t leave empty-handed either; they’ll pocket some sweet Whataburger swag! Talk about a win-win.

Something for Our Heroes

In a heartwarming addition to the opening festivities, veterans and active-duty military personnel—be sure to wear your uniform or bring an ID—will be treated to a free 16-ounce hot or iced coffee inside. It’s a little way for Whataburger to say, “Thank you for your service!”

Meet the Team Behind the Burgers

Get ready to meet the energetic team led by Ashley Adams, the operating partner who has tons of experience under her belt. Ashley previously managed a Whataburger in Texas and has worked for other giants like Walmart and Xerox. Under her leadership, 75 staff members have been brought on board to deliver that signature Whataburger experience you’ve all been craving. So, be kind to the folks here; they’re excited to serve you!

The Whataburger Journey in the Carolinas

Columbia’s new location is just one piece of the puzzle for Whataburger. They opened a spot in Irmo last September and have been cropping up in places like Greenville, Anderson, Boiling Springs, and Mauldin since July. And the fun isn’t stopping there! Mark your calendars because in just a few short weeks, another shiny new restaurant will land at 888 South Lake Drive in Lexington.

Looking Ahead

Can’t wait for your tasty Whataburger fix? Well, you won’t have to wait much longer! In 2025, prepare to welcome even more Whataburger locations, with set openings at 5648 Calhoun Memorial Parkway in Easley, aiming for spring, and 1537 E. Main St. in Duncan, slated for summer. The Whataburger train is chugging through the Carolinas, and it looks like it’s here to stay!

Join the Fun!

So, are you ready for some delicious burgers, crispy fries, and refreshing drinks? Make plans to swing by the new Whataburger in Columbia this Monday! Whether you’re a lifelong fan or tasting their famous burgers for the first time, it’s sure to be a thrilling experience. Don’t miss out on the chance for free food and all that cool swag—it’s a burger lover’s paradise!

From burgers to fries, to those amazing shakes, Whataburger is ready to satisfy your cravings. Make sure to bring your appetite and your winning spirit. Columbia, this is just the beginning of a delicious adventure!
