Lexington County, South Carolina, is mourning the loss of a young life after a tragic motorcycle crash that occurred on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. The incident, which took place around 3 p.m. at the intersection of South Lake Drive and Knoll Station Drive in the Red Bank area, involved a motorcycle and a car and has left many in the community in shock.
The victim of the crash has been identified as Nathan Scott Ash, a 20-year-old who resided in Pelion. Nathan was riding a 1999 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he collided with a 2016 Honda SUV that was driving in the opposite direction. According to law enforcement officials, it seems Nathan was traveling east on South Lake Drive when the unfortunate accident occurred. It’s a heart-wrenching situation that has touched the hearts of many in the area.
Reports indicate that a deputy had initiated a traffic stop due to reckless driving and was attempting to pull Nathan over when the collision took place. Tragically, the stop was not completed in time, leading to this devastating outcome. Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV, the sole occupant in the vehicle, miraculously escaped uninjured.
