Get Ready for a Magical Christmas in Cayce!

Hello, Cayce! Are you ready to embrace the spirit of the season? The countdown to the beloved Christmas in Cayce 2024 festivities has officially begun! With everything starting on Thursday, December 5th, there’s so much featured this year that every member of the family will have something to enjoy. So grab your holiday hats and let’s dive into the jolly details!

Kick Off the Fun with a Tree Lighting Ceremony

The festivities take off with the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 pm on December 5. This year promises to be extra special as the talented Busbee Creative Arts Academy band, chorus, and dancers will light up the evening with delightful performances. Those who want to give back this season can drop off canned goods and non-perishable food items at the event. The Woman’s Club of Cayce is coordinating this noble initiative, and all donations will benefit God’s Helping Hands and the Scooter Scott Project. It’s a beautiful way to help local families in need while enjoying the festivities!

If you can’t make it down to City Hall, don’t fret! You can catch the magic live on WLTX at 6 pm. What a great way to include family and friends who may be far away!

Carols Along the Riverwalk on December 6

Now, what could be better than a peaceful stroll with holiday tunes? Join us on December 6 from 6 pm to 8 pm for Carols Along the Riverwalk. Picture this: You walking along the scenic Cayce Riverwalk with a warm cup of hot chocolate in hand, surrounded by the catchy sounds of local church choirs and talented musicians positioned throughout the area. Starting at the N Avenue Entrance (at 201 N Avenue), this “reverse caroling” celebration turns the Riverwalk into a magical experience that you don’t want to miss!

Worried about parking? No worries! Free parking is available at Brookland-Cayce High School, with complimentary trolley rides shuttling you to and from the Riverwalk entry. Isn’t that the sweetest deal?

Explore History and Tradition on December 7

And just when you think it can’t get better, guess what? On December 7, from 6 pm to 9 pm, the Cayce Historical Museum will host an enchanting event called Christmas Traditions: Olde & New. Step inside to experience the holiday spirit from days gone by! Each room in the museum will be festively decorated with trees and crafts representing the 18th century through today.

But wait, there’s more! You’ll find live entertainment, a holiday market to snag those unique gifts, and even docents dressed in period attire to make the experience feel like a trip back in time. And of course, let’s not forget about Santa & Mrs. Claus, who will be spreading joy and cheer. Light refreshments will also be available, making it the perfect evening outing for everyone.

Join the Festivities!

There’s something special about Christmas in Cayce, and this year, it’s bound to be full of laughter, joy, and togetherness. So gather your family and friends, wrap up warm, and come partake in these wonderful events. Let’s make this holiday season one for the books!
