Have you ever wished you could help give recognition to your favorite local haunts in Columbia? Now is your chance, with the introduction of the “COLAtoday’s Best” initiative. This effort is focused around promoting and recognizing the businesses that make the city of Columbia delightfully unique.
The process of nominating a business is straightforward and accessible to everyone in the community. To nominate a business, you need to navigate to the provided website and select the “Add Nomination” button. You’ll then need to select a category and type in the name or address of the business or venue you want to nominate. The business or venue that you choose will automatically populate the field. Even if you are the owner of the nominated business, you can join the fun.
There are numerous categories open for nominations, including “Adult Crowd (21+)”, “Kid-Friendly Activities/Venues”, “Pet-Friendly Places”, and so forth. From coffee shops, event venues, to outdoor dining locations, you get to pick your favorite in each of these categories, and many others. This not only allows the Columbia community to recognize various sorts of businesses but also ensures a diverse range of local gems are highlighted.
The nominations will close on August 16, after which the team will process the data. The final list of nominees will be announced on August 26, marking the start of the voting period. Voting will be open from September 2 until September 20. Stay tuned for the announcement of the winners in each category on October 4.
This campaign presents a compelling opportunity for the Columbia community to actively engage in recognizing and promoting their favorite local businesses. So, be sure to nominate your preferred businesses, venues, and spots before the closing date. Let’s spread the local love and support the businesses that make Columbia vibrant and unique. The “COLAtoday’s Best” initiative is a testament to the importance of local businesses and the value they bring to a thriving, diverse community.
