Lexington PD Searching for Suspect in Mower Theft Case

The Lexington Police Department in South Carolina is currently seeking assistance in identifying and locating a suspected thief. The suspect is believed to have stolen a mower from Lowe’s Home Improvement store on Sunset Boulevard. Authorities are appealing to the public for any information related to this case.

Case Details

The incident occurred on May 15, 2024, according to Detective Davis of the Lexington Police Department. Detective Davis, who has been assigned to the case, shared that the man in question was dropped off at the entrance to Lowe’s Home Improvement located at 5412 Sunset Boulevard by a black Dodge Caravan without a license plate.

Following his arrival, the man reportedly proceeded to the lawn and garden equipment section of the store. He was captured on surveillance footage selecting a Recycler Lawn Mower valued at $549.00.

Without making any payment, the suspect then left the store with the mower.Lexington Police Department is working tirelessly to locate the unidentified man, and the case is currently under active investigation.

Call for Public Assistance

The Lexington Police Department believes that someone in the community may have information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect. They are urging anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any details about the case to come forward and assist in the investigation.

Congruently, Detective Davis is asking for the public’s assistance in the identification and locution of the suspect. Any person who recognizes the suspect or has pertinent information about the theft is asked to contact the Lexington Police Department at phone number 803-358-727.
