As the end of October approaches, the city of Key West is buzzing with excitement as the fall sports season at Key West High School wraps up. With homecoming festivities just around the corner, student-athletes are gearing up for their final games and competitions. For many seniors, this marks their last chance to showcase their talents in their respective sports.

This fall, KWHS athletes have been pouring their hearts into five main sports: football, swimming, cross country, golf, and volleyball. Each team is filled with determination as they strive for success, not only on the field or court but also in the classroom. Student-athletes have been spotted daily in the KWHS Back Yard and the weight room, diligently working on improving their skills and fitness levels.

The class of 2025, in particular, has demonstrated immense dedication and perseverance throughout their high school journey. These seniors have balanced their sports commitments with their academic responsibilities, leading to outstanding performances in both areas. Their hard work is commendable, and it sets a great example for younger classmates.

As the last games and meets approach, the spirits among the teams are high. Coaches and teammates alike are coming together to support each other during this bittersweet time. With the homecoming celebrations, there’s an added level of excitement as student-athletes prepare to honor their high school experience one last time.
