In El Paso, high school volleyball teams were busy on Tuesday, September 24, as they showcased their talent in several exciting matches. The standout performance of the evening came from Ysleta, who defeated Riverside with a score of 25-11, 25-23, 23-25, 25-16. Abby led the team with an impressive 20 kills and 19 digs, while Mary contributed 15 kills and 8 digs. Crystal was another key player with a whopping 32 digs to support the victory.

Franklin also had a strong showing, successfully overcoming Socorro with scores of 25-8, 25-19, 25-14. Victoria Bailey was the highlight for Franklin with 15 kills, while Hannah Finn provided valuable assistance with 24 assists in the match.

Burges faced off against Canutillo in a nail-biter that went to five sets. Despite a rocky start, Burges managed to win the match 18-25, 25-23, 25-20, 12-25, 15-7. E. Rodriguez was instrumental with 16 kills and 3 blocks, helping the team secure the victory.

El Dorado faced Parkland, winning decisively with a score of 27-25, 25-22, 25-10. Players like A. McGriff and M. Taylor consistently delivered powerful performances, contributing significantly to their team’s success.

Another exciting match occurred when Irvin conquered YWA with a four-set victory of 22-25, 25-23, 25-13, 25-23. Irvin’s Amy Hernandez shone brightly, contributing 6 kills and making significant defensive efforts.
