In West Seattle, Washington, the local high school varsity football scene wrapped up two games this week, one last night and one this afternoon. Today, at Memorial Stadium downtown, West Seattle High School (WSHS) celebrated a solid win, taking down Franklin High School with a score of 34-7. This marks WSHS’s second victory of the season, bringing their record to 2-3.
Last night at the Nino Cantu Southwest Athletic Complex, Chief Sealth International High School (CSIHS) faced off against Lakeside but unfortunately fell short, losing the match by a close score of 13-10. This defeat was particularly significant as it was CSIHS’s first loss this season, dropping their record to 4-1.
Looking ahead, both teams are set to take the field again next week, with exciting Friday night games scheduled at the NCSWAC (2801 SW Thistle). WSHS will go up against Lakeside at 4:30 pm, while CSIHS is prepared to play against Cleveland at 7:30 pm. Fans are eager to see how each team will perform in their upcoming matchups and if WSHS can continue its winning ways while CSIHS aims to bounce back from its first defeat.
