High School Basketball Results from Jonesborough and Bluff City

Jonesborough and Bluff City were buzzing with excitement as high school basketball teams took to the courts for a series of thrilling matchups. These contests were part of the ongoing Hardee’s, Food City, and Valley Forge tournaments.

In a tightly contested game in Jonesborough, Cocke Co. managed to edge out Daniel Boone with a score of 48-43. The game was a battle of wills, with both teams showing determination and skill, but Cocke Co. came out on top when it mattered most.

Meanwhile, David Crockett faced a tough challenge from West Ridge. This game was a nail-biter, but Crockett ultimately triumphed with a score of 71-67, showcasing their resilience in a competitive matchup.

Over in Bluff City, action was also intense at the Food City Classic. West Ridge had a standout performance from Grant Thompson, who scored 27 points, leading his team to a 65-55 victory over Kachea. Thompson’s scoring ability was on full display, and the audience was thrilled by his performance.

Tennessee High also had a great showing, with Colin Brown contributing 24 points to help his team defeat Happy Valley in a decisive fashion, ending with a score of 88-47.

In the Valley Forge tournament, Unicoi Co. demonstrated their prowess by outpacing Unaka with a final score of 50-37. Lastly, Happy Valley managed a close win over Cedar View Christian, finishing with 37-33.

These games highlight the energy and talent present in high school basketball, as teams continue to battle for victory in exciting matchups. With many more games upcoming, the season is surely just getting started!
