Columbia, South Carolina, has been buzzing with excitement this winter as Harbison Theatre celebrates a remarkable first half of the 2024-2025 season. From spellbinding performances to exhilarating concerts, this local gem has captivated audiences and left them eagerly anticipating what’s next!
The season got off to a fantastic start with the phenomenal country music star, Cody Webb, who hails from Saluda. His show set the tone for an exciting collection of performances to follow, showcasing a variety of genres that truly brought the community together.
Not one to be outdone, the theater welcomed The Boxmasters featuring Billy Bob Thornton, who entertained guests with their unique blend of blues and rock music. Their energetic performance kept the audience on their feet and fully engaged.
Fans of soulful tunes were in for a treat when the Grammy-nominated duo The War and Treaty took the stage, playing to a sold-out audience. Their harmonious sounds resonated throughout the theater, leaving the crowd cheering for more. And let’s not forget the mesmerizing magic of illusionist Mike Super, who dazzled the packed house with his spectacular illusions that left everyone talking.
This season also marked the third anniversary of the theater’s beloved presentation of “A Christmas Carol”, a holiday classic that continues to warm the hearts of many. Next, on March 1, “Mother’s Finest” will grace the stage for their inaugural performance at Harbison Theatre after an impressive 50-year journey in the music industry. Following that, the enchanting South Carolina Ballet will present “Romeo and Juliet” on March 7, perfect for ballet enthusiasts.
