Godspeed Coffee Opens Pop-Up Shop in Collaboration with Papa Jazz Record Shoppe

In an exciting mix of coffee and vinyl, Godspeed Coffee has launched a new pop-up shop, teaming up with the Papa Jazz Record Shoppe. Located at 727 Saluda St. in Five Points, inside the former Starbucks location, patrons can expect to see the shop for the next three weeks.

Community Connections at the Core of Godspeed

Godspeed Coffee is the brainchild of experienced Columbia baristas, Roger Caughman and Kailey Cunningham. The pair, who met at Drip Coffee, have a shared passion for community and great coffee; therefore, they decided to actualize their vision by launching a “for hire” specialty coffee pop-up shop that will appear in local retail stores.

Choosing the pop-up shop model allowed Caughman and Cunningham an affordable way to launch their project. The vision of Godspeed is to foster community connections with each pop-up, creating a warm and inviting place for coffee enthusiasts to assemble and caffeinate.

Papa Jazz: A Long-Standing Pillar in the Music Scene

Papa Jazz Record Shoppe has been a mainstay in the music scene for over 44 years. The collaboration with Godspeed, however, is a fresh endeavor. The combination of coffee and vinyl records creates a unique blend of taste and tune catering to the community’s diverse interests.

What’s Next for Godspeed

While the present pop-up at Five Points is planned for around three weeks, Columbia residents can stay tuned to find out where Godspeed will pop up next. As indicated by its debut location, the project is intrigued by the potential of collaborating with other local businesses.

Updates on the Godspeed and Papa Jazz Collaboration

It will be exciting to see how this collaboration evolves and how the community will respond to it. It certainly offers an innovative and exciting option for the people in the area looking for coffee, vinyl records, or more importantly, a place to socialize, while supporting local businesses and fostering community connections.
