COLUMBIA, SC – In the continued growth and investment in Columbia, a national fitness brand, Hotworx Fitness Studio, has officially opened a new location in the city. Local Columbia officials celebrated the opening of this new franchise with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at 4464 Devine St., Suite G.
The opening event was graced by At-Large City Councilwoman Dr. Aditi Bussells, Columbia Economic Development staff, Chamber of Commerce representatives, and Hotworx studio owners. All attendees gave speeches, marking the positive strides being made to enhance the quality of life in Columbia and championing small businesses.
The new Hotworx location in Columbia is the brainchild of Kelsey Farnham Caskey and Sheena Vaccaro. Farnham, whose background lies in marketing and government relations, is the co-founder of a successful local social media agency, Spruce Strategies. Vaccaro is a seasoned professional in the health field and serves as a women’s health nurse practitioner. She’s also a seasoned entrepreneur who owns and operates Sneak A Peek Boutique, a private 3D/4D ultrasound studio.
At-Large City Councilwoman Dr. Aditi Bussells, during the grand opening, applauded the Hotworx team for their efforts to boost the local economy and promote health and wellness. She further said, “As we celebrate the grand opening of Hotworx, we reinforce our commitment to enhancing the quality of life and championing small businesses. Hotworx Fitness Studio has over 600 locations across the United States and uses a unique combination of infrared heat and isometric workouts. Aimed at facilitating clients to achieve maximum results in less time, the fitness studio offers several virtual exercise routines in seven infrared saunas to promote detoxification, faster calorie burn, and improved muscle recovery.
Hotworx’s arrival in Columbia aligns perfectly with the city’s ongoing commitment to improving its economy and quality of life.
