Exciting Transformations Unveiled at Rhythm’s Lounge Bar and Grill in Columbia

Exciting Changes at Rhythm’s Lounge Bar and Grill in Columbia

Columbia is buzzing with excitement as Rhythm’s Lounge Bar and Grill officially reopened its doors on September 13 at a new location on 736 St. Andrews Road. This popular eatery, known for its vibrant atmosphere and live music, has undergone some major transformations, and the community is eager to check out what’s new!

A Fresh New Vibe

Under the leadership of CEO Chris Gray, Rhythm’s was founded in 2023 to cater to a demographic that’s often overlooked: guests aged 30 to 60. Gray’s vision was simple yet powerful; he wanted to create a safe and welcoming space for more established professionals. “For years, I’ve heard that there aren’t many options for this age group in Columbia,” Gray shared. “We strive to offer a fantastic environment where they can come together to relax and enjoy.”

New Location, New Offerings

Having originally set up shop on Bush River Road, the move to St. Andrews Road was part of Gray’s long-term plan. He revealed, “This building was always on my radar. We looked at it a year and a half ago, but at that time, it wasn’t available. When the chance arose, we were quick to make our move.”

The newly revamped two-story venue features a stunning wooden bar, cozy couch nooks, and a separate lounge room perfect for smaller gatherings and events. And let’s not forget about the outdoor patio, which Gray describes as “perfect” for their Cigars and Sundown event, a highly anticipated weekly gathering where guests can unwind while enjoying a good smoke and great company. This year, instead of bringing your own cigars, visitors will be able to purchase them right on-site!

A Menu Makeover

With the change in location comes a fresh take on the menu. The team has introduced exciting new items, including salmon bites and tacos, and, for beer enthusiasts, there’s the added bonus of having draft beer now available on tap!

Despite the changes, many beloved staples remain on the menu. The Honey Hot wings basket continues to steal the show. This dish features a delightful pairing of vinegar-based hot sauce and sweet honey, making for a tasty yet mild flavor that highlights the perfectly crispy wings. And you can’t forget about the extra-crispy, crinkle-cut fries, which are obviously a crowd favorite and have received quite the luxurious frying treatment!

Signature Cocktails

When it comes to beverages, the full-service bar promises something for everyone. One standout drink is “The Vibe,” an original cocktail created exclusively for Rhythm’s. It combines the richness of Remy Martin or Hennessy cognac with sweet strawberry syrup and cranberry juice, resulting in a tasty treat that perfectly complements the savory bar fare.

Entertainment Galore

Rhythm’s isn’t just about food and drinks. The venue will continue to host an array of entertainment, including live music, sports viewing, spoken-word poetry, and a lively weekend brunch. It’s a place where you can gather with friends, enjoy great tunes, and savor delicious bites — what more could you ask for?

As Jane Godiner, a food reporter, puts it, “Rhythm’s Lounge Bar and Grill is not just a restaurant; it’s a community hub that brings people together with good food, good drinks, and good company.”

So, whether you’re a first-timer or an old friend of Rhythm’s, head on over to St. Andrews Road to experience the vibrant ambiance, indulge in delicious food, and enjoy a fantastic night out.
