Exciting New Tex-Mex Spot to Open in Columbia!

Columbia, get ready to delight your taste buds! A vibrant new dining destination is set to make its grand entrance in our city this coming December 10. That’s right! Surcheros, the popular Tex-Mex restaurant brand, is breaking ground with its very first location in South Carolina, right at 4609 Forest Drive, Ste 2, in the bustling Cardinal Crossing Complex.

Meet the Man Behind the Magic

Leading the charge is franchisee Andrew Powell, who’s no stranger to the restaurant scene. Powell made a significant life switch, moving from a sales job at Konica Minolta to dive into the exciting world of hospitality. His impressive experience includes stints at bistros and cafes in gorgeous spots such as St. Simons Island, Ga. and Asheville, which has prepared him well for this new venture. In total, Powell runs four Surcheros locations, and he couldn’t be more thrilled to expand into the Palmetto State.

What’s Cooking at Surcheros?

Now, let’s talk food! Surcheros isn’t just your ordinary Tex-Mex joint; it’s all about Fresh-Mex favorites that will have you coming back for more. Think freshly made tacos, grilled burritos, delicious bowls, and mouth-watering quesadillas featuring only the best premium meats or fresh veggies.

But wait, there’s more! With the menu packed with over 25 toppings and a variety of signature sauces, you can create your very own perfect dish. There is no way you’ll leave disappointed. The new restaurant spans 3,019 square feet and will feature a spacious salsa bar and a self-service line, allowing you to customize your meal just the way you like it. The setup promises a fun and interactive dining experience that can cater to everyone, whether you’re a family with kids or looking for a casual meal.

Embracing the Columbia Community

Powell expresses his excitement for this opening, saying, “I am thrilled to bring Surcheros to South Carolina and share their high-quality offerings and exceptional hospitality with the greater Columbia area.” He recognizes Columbia as a lively community filled with families and students, and is eager to make Surcheros a favorite hangout spot where everyone feels welcome.

Job Opportunities Abound!

Moreover, if you’re looking for work, you might want to consider this new hotspot. Surcheros is set to employ 75 people, creating a wealth of opportunities right here in Columbian neighborhoods. This not only contributes to the local economy but also adds to the vibrancy of our ever-evolving dining scene.

Get Ready for the Grand Opening!

The countdown to December 10 has officially begun, and residents can hardly contain their excitement. This restaurant is expected to become a lively part of the community, drawing in crowds looking for a tasty meal in a friendly atmosphere. So mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and be there to celebrate the arrival of Surcheros in Columbia. Who’s ready to try some Fresh-Mex bliss?
