For all the art enthusiasts out there, Alexandra’s Art Studio on Sparkleberry Crossing Road is your go-to spot! They offer a range of adult and kids’ classes, as well as organized art class groups to get those creative juices flowing. If you’re looking for some weekend fun, don’t forget to check out the Midlands Crafter’s Association’s 2024 Christmas Arts & Crafts Market, scheduled for Saturday, November 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, November 3, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the South Carolina State Farmers Market. It’s the perfect opportunity to find unique handmade gifts!
Don’t miss the Historic Melrose Art in the Yard on Sunday, December 8, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. This outdoor event will feature local artists showcasing their work across multiple city blocks. Stay tuned on social media for maps and more information!
This month, Rehoboth Church will be holding an indoor yard sale on November 1 and 2, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a fantastic way to snag some unique finds while supporting the community. And as Election Day approaches, St. David’s Episcopal Church will host a non-partisan prayer service for peace and unity on November 4 at 6:30 p.m. It’s a time to come together and reflect as a community.
Prioritizing your health? Mark your calendars for the free “Healthy Me-Healthy SC” community health fair, taking place on Saturday, November 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Andrews Park. This event will offer invaluable resources and services to help you stay fit and informed.
Looking for some fun, family-friendly outings? The South Carolina Gingerbread House Competition is back on December 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at AIA Columbia. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Columbia Christmas Pageant at First Baptist Church on December 14 and 15 for a festive celebration that has become a beloved community tradition.
If you’re a fan of dance, you won’t want to miss the Betsy Blackmon Dance Company’s Fall Concert on November 7 and 8, at 7:30 p.m., hosted at the Koger Center for the Arts.
