College Night at the South Carolina State Museum

It runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and it’s a wonderful opportunity for college students to explore the museum without breaking the bank. If you’re a USC student, you’ll get free general admission. Students from other colleges won’t feel left out either—enjoy a special discounted rate!

The museum has something for everyone, but keep in mind that the planetarium laser shows and 4D movies cost an additional $3 each and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. So, arrive early to snag a good spot!

Cayce Fall Fest – A Family Affair

Looking for a fun family outing? Look no further! The Cayce Fall Fest is back this Saturday, October 5, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Granby Gardens Park. This fantastic event is completely free and open to the public, making it perfect for everyone. Get ready for a day filled with live music, tasty food, face painting, and even a petting zoo! Support Breast Cancer Awareness

On Friday, October 4, you can attend the annual Isabel Law Breast Cancer Breakfast hosted by Columbia’s own Mayor, Daniel Rickenmann. This event will take place at City Hall on Main Street from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Tickets are priced at $15, and they support a really important cause. The proceeds will go towards acquiring a 3D mammography imaging unit for the Prisma Health Parkridge campus.

If you’re looking to buy tickets, you can pick them up directly at City Hall or at the payment center on Harden Street. Let’s support a great cause together and enjoy a good meal for a good reason!

Catch R&B Legends Live!

For music lovers, the excitement doesn’t stop there! You can still grab tickets to see the incredible R&B legends Tamia and Joe at the Colonial Life Arena this Friday, October 4. The concert kicks off at 8 p.m., but be sure to arrive early since doors open at 7 p.m. Prepare for a night filled with nostalgia as Tamia belts out hits like “Stranger in my House” and “So Into You”, along with Joe’s classics such as “I Wanna Know” and “Stutter”.
