Excitement Builds in Columbia for Possible New Contestant on The Bachelor

Excitement Builds in Columbia for Possible New Contestant on “The Bachelor”

Hey there, Columbia! We’ve got some thrilling news buzzing about that could add a dash of Palmetto State charm to your TV screens soon. ABC Network has unveiled a tentative cast list for Season 29 of the beloved reality show “The Bachelor”, and it looks like our very own Neicey Baxter from Blythewood could be in the mix. How cool is that?

Meet Neicey Baxter

Neicey Baxter, at 32 years young, hails from Blythewood, just a short drive north of our fantastic city. If you’ve been out and about in recent years, perhaps you’ve heard her name buzzing around town. This talented lady is a general pediatrician and neonatologist, currently affiliated with Prisma Health Richland Hospital. With 6 to 10 years of experience under her belt, she knows her way around tiny patients—something she might find handy when it comes to winning over Bachelor Grant Ellis!

Before she arrived in Blythewood, Neicey made quite the journey. She earned her degree at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine, completed her pediatrics residency at Prisma, and even did a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Talk about impressive!

Grant Ellis: The Man of the Hour

Now, let’s take a moment to chat about the man who could be Neicey’s ticket to romance, Grant Ellis. This 30-year-old day trader from Houston, Texas, first caught our eyes on Season 21 of “The Bachelorette”. Viewers fell for him due to his sincere wish to create a family-focused future. After an emotional exit following a heartfelt breakup with Bachelorette Jenn Tran, he’s back in the game and looking to find love once again!

What’s Next for Neicey?

Neicey is tentatively set to appear on the show in 2025. That’s right, you may see her vying for roses and romance in a season that kicks off after fans have enjoyed “The Golden Bachelorette”, the series spotlighting fabulous women and their journey to love. It’s safe to say that many folks in South Carolina are on the edge of their seats, waiting to see if our own Neicey can snag a date with Grant and potentially become the star she deserves to be.

Last year gave us another Southern heartthrob in the form of Sam McKinney, a 27-year-old contractor from Myrtle Beach. Even though he didn’t find his happily ever after, he put South Carolina on the reality TV map. With Neicey’s medical background and inspiring story, who knows? She could be next to bring home a romantic ending!

The Local Buzz

As excitement grows for Neicey’s potential appearance, there’s plenty happening around Columbia to enjoy. Mark your calendars for the 46th Annual Jubilee Festival of Black History & Culture kicking off on September 21st. It’s the perfect way to learn more about our community’s rich culture and heritage.

And if you’re into spookiness, be sure to check out the second annual SC Horror Convention on September 14th. Expect a lively atmosphere with celebrity panels and artisanal vendors that promise to deliver an unforgettable experience. Columbia is buzzing with energy, and it’s clear that there’s never a shortage of things to do!

Final Thoughts

As we await the 2025 season of “The Bachelor”, let’s cheer on Neicey, a true representation of Columbia’s talent and heartwarming spirit. We’ll keep our fingers crossed for her journey into the world of reality TV romance. Who knows, maybe we’ll be watching her stroll down the path to love on our screens before we know it!
