In Class 5A, the Tigers triumphed over Johnston with a narrow victory of 38-35. As the clock wound down, Johnston was pushing for a comeback, but the Tigers held on to secure their place in the semifinals. They will be joined by Valley, Dowling, Southeast Polk, and Iowa City Liberty. Just moments before, Lewis Central pulled off an incredible finish against ADM, scoring a touchdown with under 30 seconds to play, finalizing the score at 30-25.
