Lexington County is buzzing with news! Residents from Cayce to West Columbia, and beyond, have taken notice of an increasing number of incidents happening in our towns. One of the most recent cases involves a shoplifting incident at ULTA Beauty, sparking a call for community engagement to solve this case and keep our neighborhoods safe.
On October 9, 2024, detectives from the Town of Lexington Police Department responded to a report of theft at the ULTA Beauty store located on Sunset Boulevard. The perpetrator is a woman who, according to reports, managed to walk out with over $2,500 worth of beauty products! That’s a hefty haul, and it’s definitely raised some eyebrows around the community.
Authorities have released a photograph of the suspected shoplifter and are now asking residents to keep an eye out. If you happen to recognize her or have any information that could help lead to her identification, the police are eager to hear from you! Detective Williamson can be reached at 803-358-1514 or via email at jwilliamson@lexsc.gov.
Now, if you’re a bit shy and prefer not to reveal your identity, there’s good news! You can also pass along your tips anonymously through Midlands Crimestoppers. Just dial 1-888-CRIME-SC or hop on their webpage to make a tip. And who knows? You might even be eligible for a cash reward if it leads to an arrest!

As news of the theft spreads, it’s a great opportunity for locals to unite against crime. Many of us can lend a helping hand — be it hands-on detective work by keeping our eyes peeled or simply spreading the word about this incident and the importance of reporting any suspicious activity.
