Hey there, Columbia! If you love brunch as much as we do, you’re in for a real treat! The Toasty Hot Spot—our beloved go-to for mouth-watering brunch dishes—has officially opened its shiny new location in Five Points, and trust us, it’s going to be the place to be for foodies in town.
It’s been quite a journey for owner Sai Williams and her team. After a little shake-up from the impending demolition of their cozy spot on Lady Street, they’ve found a new home at 2002 Greene Street. The lot was once home to the quick-service joint, Pita Pit, but it’s now transformed into a brunch haven!
Williams shared her thoughts about the sudden relocation: “Sadly, it wasn’t our intention to move, but the owner, I’m assuming, didn’t want my business there.” After hitting the pavement and searching high and low, she spotted the perfect location and made it happen. Columbia’s officials were all in attendance for the grand opening ceremony held on November 4, showing their support for the community-driven business.
At the opening ceremony, Mayor Daniel Rickenmann expressed his admiration for Williams: “They gave her three months’ notice to find a new location, and she did all this. This is amazing and this is what Columbia is about.” It’s not every day you see a whole community rallying behind a local business, and it’s hard not to feel the warmth!
Joining in the celebration was Williams’ family, including her proud aunt, Dolores Capers, who stated, “She’s one of the first in our family to become an entrepreneur with her own business. We’re so excited about that.” Talk about a family affair!
The new Toasty Hot Spot expands a whopping 1,400 square feet, providing ample space for indoor dining and, you guessed it—mimosas! Williams is eager to offer a revamped menu and is promising to bring the same deliciousness that fans have come to adore. “We’re going to offer everything that we already offer,” she said with enthusiasm. “We can just give way more quality service.”
So, what are the dishes you can’t miss at the new location? Let’s break it down:
The Toasty Hot Spot is ready to welcome you with open arms and tantalizing flavors in its new Five Points location. Whether you’re a long-time fan or a newcomer to the brunch scene, you won’t want to miss out on the magic happening here. Here’s to new beginnings and delicious adventures ahead!
