Sponsor Our ArticlesLandmark Properties, a real estate firm specializing in residential communities, has acquired a 67-acre site in Columbia, South Carolina, to develop a new student housing community near the University of South Carolina.
The new community will be situated just 1.3 miles from the main campus of the University of South Carolina and less than a mile from Williams-Brice Stadium, home of the Gamecocks. This strategic location offers students convenient access to campus facilities and exciting entertainment options.
The cottage-style community will feature 197 units with a total of 826 beds. Residents can choose from a variety of floorplans, ranging from two to six bedrooms. Each fully furnished residence will include private bathrooms, high-speed internet, hardwood-style floors, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a full-sized washer/dryer.
Residents will enjoy a resort-style outdoor pool complex with a sun deck, cabanas, hammocks, a Jumbotron, and outdoor grilling stations. Additional amenities include a sand volleyball court, a sports simulator, fire pits, a clubhouse with a 24-hour fitness center, study spaces, and a computer lab.
Landmark Properties has partnered with Peninsula U.S. for this venture, marking their 15th investment together. The Managing Director of Peninsula U.S., Juan Fernando Valdivieso, expressed excitement about enhancing the living and learning environments for University of South Carolina students.
The new cottage-style community adds to Landmark’s growing portfolio in Columbia, complementing properties like The Standard at Columbia and Saga Columbia. With a focus on amenities and proximity to campus, the community aims to meet the increasing demand for quality student housing options.
