The bride, who was escorted by her father, radiated beauty and happiness as she entered the chapel. With her parents, Ms. Mary Lafaye Floyd and Mr. Richard E. B. Courtney, a local gal, has a special connection with Columbia, being the daughter of beloved residents in the community. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Eugene Lafaye Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herron O’Berry Floyd Jr.. Known for her friendly smile and her hard work at Whit-Ash Furniture Store, she is a cherished part of the Columbia fabric.

Colin, on the other hand, is known around town for his grit and determination, running his own business, Comer Landscaping. He is the son of Ms. Carolyn Machovina Comer and Mr. Daniel Kelly Comer, and the legacy of his family stands strong with roots reaching back to his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Machovina and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Oslon.
