Hey there, chicken sandwich lovers of Columbia! We’ve got some news that you’ll want to mark on your calendar. If you often find yourself craving that delicious Chick-fil-A goodness at the location on 405 Killian Road, you might need to make some alternate dinner plans for a little while. This busy spot is set to close for some exciting renovations, starting this month!
According to recent social media updates from the restaurant, the Chick-fil-A on Killian Road will be shutting its doors at 3 p.m. on October 17. The good news? This isn’t a permanent goodbye! The location is expected to undergo some fantastic remodeling that will take a few weeks. You can plan to enjoy your favorite chicken sandwiches and waffle fries again during the week of November 11 when the restaurant reopens!
This Chick-fil-A is not just any location; it’s nestled in the lively Killian’s Crossing area, which is home to a variety of popular businesses, including Kroger, Chipotle, and Starbucks. With 38,000 cars passing by each day according to state transportation data, it’s easy to see why this fast-food spot is so busy! Whether you’re heading home from work or just stopping by for a quick meal, this Chick-fil-A is a staple for many in the community.
You might be wondering what’s prompting this renovation. Chick-fil-A has been on a bit of a makeover spree lately in the Midlands area! Over the past couple of years, numerous locations have undergone upgrades or complete overhauls. For instance, the Chick-fil-A located at 2299 Augusta Road in West Columbia reopened just this past May after a three-month closure for its remodel.
Additionally, the spot at 294 Harbison Blvd. was torn down and rebuilt, opening its new doors in March 2023. Then there’s the Chick-fil-A on Dutch Fork Road, which was also closed for remodeling but is back in business as of late June 2023.
And that’s not all! The Chick-fil-A at 10136 Two Notch Road faced a similar fate this year; it was demolished and rebuilt right on the same site. Meanwhile, the restaurant on 2600 Decker Blvd. has made a big move, relocating to 7515 Two Notch Road, closer to Interstate 20. A brand-new Chick-fil-A even popped up near Red Bank at 5465 Platt Springs Road back in March 2022, much to the delight of local patrons.
Even in recent months, the Chick-fil-A at 5440 Forest Drive was torn down in November 2022 and underwent a total transformation, reopening in July this year. It’s clear that Chick-fil-A is serious about keeping its locations fresh and up-to-date!
So, while the Killian Road Chick-fil-A will be off-limits for a few weeks, the excitement of a newly remodeled restaurant is definitely something to look forward to. In the meantime, you might want to plan some trips to nearby fast-food spots or just stock up on those famous sauces to tide you over. Remember, this exciting change is just around the corner, and soon enough, you’ll be back in line for all the chicken goodness you love!
Stay tuned for updates, and see you soon as you indulge in those crispy, delicious chicken sandwiches!
