Celebrate the Season: Love Local Holiday Lighting Ceremony in Cayce!

Exciting news for all residents of Cayce, South Carolina! The Greater Cayce West Columbia Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Lexington Medical Center, is gearing up for the much-anticipated second annual Love Local Holiday Lighting Ceremony. This festive celebration will take place on Monday, November 25 at 5:00 p.m., and you definitely don’t want to miss out!

Bringing the Community Together

Hallie Campbell, the Greater CWC sponsorship coordinator, explained that this event is all about community spirit and supporting local businesses. “This ceremony began as a reflection of the Greater CWC Chamber’s commitment to supporting small businesses,” says Campbell. “It was founded on the principle of fostering community and economic growth, and we wanted to commemorate the start of the holiday shopping season with a celebration that highlights the importance of shopping local and supporting our neighbors.”

What to Expect

As the day approaches, the excitement is building! At the ceremony, those attending will witness a special moment when representatives from Lexington Medical Center will ceremoniously Flip the Switch to illuminate the Greater CWC Chamber Office. The building will first shine in a festive green light, honoring LMC, before transitioning into a dazzling array of vibrant holiday colors that will dazzle young and old alike.

A Message from the Mayor

Adding to the spirit of the evening, Mayor Tem Miles is set to deliver an inspiring message about the importance of community and the value of supporting local businesses. This uplifting talk will surely remind us all of what this season is truly about—coming together as a community.

Singing in the Season

And that’s not all! The artistic talents of our youth will grace the stage, as the Cyril B. Busbee Creative Arts Academy Choir and the Airport High School Choir will perform beloved holiday classics to help set the festive tone for the evening. It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some holiday tunes and support local talent that deserves our recognition!

A Family-Friendly Affair

The Love Local Holiday Lighting Ceremony is completely free and family-friendly, making it the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. Bring the kids, grab your friends, and enjoy the joyous atmosphere that this event promises to deliver. It’s all about connecting with neighbors, enjoying good music, and embracing the spirit of giving!
