West Columbia, SC, 05/06/2024 – The much-loved art exhibit featuring student work is currently open for public viewing at the newly established Lexington Two Performing Arts Center (L2PAC). The first and second floors of the Performing Arts Center are now adorned with the creative masterpieces of Lexington Two students that range from beautiful paintings to tactile ceramics and carefully crafted sketches.
Significant pieces from every school in the district have found their spot in the exhibit. The diversity of talented students, the range of schools represented, and the variety of art forms on show truly highlight the creativity and incredible artistic potential within the district. No doubt, the chosen pieces exhibit not just the individual creativity of the students, but also the quality of art education they are receiving across the district.
The exhibit is open to the public during weekdays from 9 am to 4 pm. It’s worth noting that admission to the show is entirely free, providing a perfect opportunity for art enthusiasts and families to get to know the budding talents in their community. The art show is housed at the L2PAC, located at 3205 Platt Springs Road. To find the exhibit, guests need to follow directional signs to the district office and enter through the doors at the back of the building.
The art exhibit provides a platform for student artists to showcase their creative capabilities to the wider community. It is an excellent opportunity for students to express their artistic visions, embrace their creativity, and receive valuable public engagement and appreciation. Simultaneously, it gives community members a chance to witness the incredible artistic talents that lie within their neighborhood schools.
Student art shows like this one at the L2PAC are vital for nurturing and acknowledging young artists’ talents. They pave the path for students to pursue arts professionally, help foster a community that appreciates art, and inspire other students to express their creativity. Therefore, it’s a warmly embraced community initiative.
A particular highlight of the show is an exceptional piece by an elementary school student presented at this year’s exhibit. All community members are encouraged to check out the artwork on display and support these dedicated and talented young artists.
There are few events as uplifting and inspiring as a student art exhibition, especially one that highlights the potential of our future generation. Lexington Two Performing Arts Center (L2PAC) is thrilled to be the host and invites everyone to come and appreciate the finest art pieces created by the incredibly talented students of Lexington Two schools.
