Chapin Newberry Post 193/24 kicked off their season with an impressive victory, defeating Greenwood Post 13-1 on June 4. This victory marks Chapin Newberry’s first win of the season, placing their record at 1-0, while Greenwood Post begins the season with a 0-1 record.

The game took place on Greenwood’s home field in Greenwood, South Carolina. Under the leadership of head coach Ryan Stoudemire, who is in his second year with the team, Chapin Newberry showcased a strong offensive performance.

Chapin Newberry made a significant opening statement by scoring four runs in the top of the first inning. Greenwood managed to respond with a single run in the bottom of the inning, which would ultimately be their only score of the game. The dominance continued as Chapin Newberry added two more runs in the top of the third inning and capped off their offensive display with a staggering seven runs in the top of the fifth inning.
