Junior National qualifier Maddie Reynolds from Windermere, Florida has committed to the University of South Carolina for the 2025-26 season. Reynolds, a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, expressed her excitement about her decision to join the Gamecocks’ Class of 2029.
Reynolds shared her gratitude towards her family, friends, teammates, and coaches for their support in reaching this milestone. She specifically thanked the coaching staff at South Carolina for the opportunity, stating, “I can’t wait! GO GAMECOCKS!”
Representing Laker Swimming, Reynolds excelled in the 50m back at NCSA Spring Championships and the Florida Spring Senior Championships. She also made waves internationally, competing for Puerto Rico at the recent Puerto Rico International Open where she secured titles in the 100m back and top finishes in the 50m back and 200m back.
A current junior at Windermere High School, Reynolds has showcased her talent in the pool while maintaining a high academic standard. Her accomplishments include a fourth-place finish in both the 100 back and 100 free at the 2023 Florida 4A State Championships.
