West Columbia Gears Up for Enchanting Holiday Parade of Lights This Weekend

West Columbia Welcomes the Holiday Spirit with a Spectacular Parade

Get Ready for the Most Magical Day of the Year!

Hey there, West Columbia! The holiday season is in full swing, and the excitement is palpable as we gear up for the Holiday Parade of Lights this weekend! Picture this: twinkling lights, festive floats, and a whole lot of holiday cheer filling the streets. Sounds magical, right? This is one event you definitely don’t want to miss!

A Winter Wonderland Awaits

Mark your calendars for Parade Day, Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., because the Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber has something special lined up just for you! Their office at 1006 12th St. is transforming into a winter wonderland, packed with family-friendly activities, live music, and much more. Bring your loved ones, soak up the holiday vibes, and enjoy a day filled with fun!

Shop, Dine, and Celebrate Local Businesses

The holidays are the perfect time to support our local businesses, and what better way to do it than by hopping on the Holiday Parade Day Shuttle? This shuttle is your ticket to a hassle-free day as it runs a loop around Cayce and West Columbia, making stops at local shops, restaurants, and businesses. So, you can shop till you drop, grab a bite to eat, and really sleigh the day away with zero stress!

Last Year’s Parade Was a Hit!

Last year, the Holiday Parade of Lights drew an astonishing crowd of over 24,000 people. Imagine the joy of seeing the streets illuminated with countless twinkling lights, vibrant floats, and festive vehicles parading through the night. This year promises to be just as enchanting. The parade kicks off at 5:30 p.m., lighting up West Columbia with holiday magic!

Meet This Year’s Grand Marshal

We’re also thrilled to announce this year’s Parade Grand Marshal, none other than Lexington County Council Lady Debbie Summers. After two decades of dedicated service to our community, she’ll be leading the parade as she wraps up her tenure. Let’s give her a warm send-off filled with appreciation for all her hard work!

Weather’s Looking Bright

And for those who are wondering about the weather, it looks like we’ll have a lovely day! Expect plenty of sunshine, with a high around 60°F and gentle northeastern winds. Perfect weather to spend the day outdoors enjoying all the festivities! Just a few afternoon clouds might sneak in, but they won’t dampen our holiday spirit!

Let’s Spread the Cheer!

So, gather your family and friends, don your most festive attire, and get ready to celebrate the season with your West Columbia neighbors! The Holiday Parade of Lights is more than just an event; it’s a reminder of the joy and togetherness that the holidays bring. Let’s light up the night and create lasting memories together!

See You There!

We can’t wait to see all of your smiling faces in the crowd this weekend. Remember to share the joy and invite everyone you know. Happy holidays, West Columbia!
