On Tuesday, the Division I golf qualifiers took place at the Quechee Club, where Sebastian Pell from Rutland took home the medalist honors with a low score of 71. Other teams qualifying for the states included Champlain Valley with a team score of 304 and South Burlington at 315. Notable individual qualifiers from other schools included Will Eaton from St. Johnsbury with a score of 73 and Austin Kelley from Spaulding with 79.

Soccer Match Highlights

In soccer, Colchester faced off against Mount Mansfield, with Colchester winning 3-1. The standout player for Colchester was Fiona McHugh, who scored twice. Meanwhile, Mount Mansfield managed to edge out Colchester in a thrilling double overtime game, clinching a 3-2 victory with a last-minute goal from Finn Heney.

Other notable games included Rice’s high-scoring affair against Milton, finishing at 5-3 in favor of Rice, led by Finn Kelleher who netted two goals. South Burlington continued their strong form with a convincing 4-0 victory over BFA-St. Albans.
