Exciting Accomplishments of USF Golfer Twitty in Final Season

Tampa, Florida – As the sun shines bright on the University of South Florida, fans are buzzing about one senior athlete who’s truly making her mark this season. Transfer student, Twitty, has taken the Bulls men’s golf team by storm since joining them in the 2018-19 season, showing everyone that hard work and dedication pay off big time.

A Stellar Start at USF

Coming from the University of Louisville, Twitty was ready to showcase her skills. This year, she’s not just playing; she’s excelling in every possible way. She kicked off Spring 2019 with a bang, securing her spot on the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. Talk about brains and talent!

Record-Breaking Performance

Throughout the spring season, Twitty played all 28 rounds for the Bulls. Right out of the gate, she made waves by tying for first on the team with four top-10 finishes and tied for second with six top-25 performances. With a scoring average of 73.6, she proved to be a powerhouse, ranking third on the team. Her consistency shone through as she recorded nine rounds of par or better. It’s no wonder the Bulls claimed that much-awaited tournament title since 2017, thanks to her significant contribution at the Florida Challenge.

Going for Gold

As the season rolled along, Twitty didn’t show signs of slowing down. She finished tied for 14th at the Valpar Augusta Invitational and took home third place at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate. This impressive showing helped guide the Bulls to their second tournament win of the season. Her consistent performance led her to secure ninth place at the prestigious The American Championship, showcasing her ability to deliver in high-pressure situations.

A Strong Fall

But wait, it doesn’t stop there! Twitty’s skills were just as sharp during the Fall 2018 lineup. Not only did she make the USF Athletics Fall 2018 Academic Honor Roll, but she also finished second on the team with a stellar scoring average of 72.9. In just four events, she notched two top-25 finishes and tied for the team lead with one top-10 finish. Her standout performance at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational, where she finished in third place with a dazzling score of 4-under, truly showcased her capabilities.

A Admired Background

Twitty’s journey didn’t start at USF. Back in high school at Chapin High School, she was a four-time all-region selection, ranked among the top in South Carolina. She participated in multiple prestigious events and even represented the Carolinas on teams in national competitions. Her proven track record laid the foundation for her success at the collegiate level.

More than Just a Golfer

Beyond golf, Twitty is also focusing on her studies. As a criminal justice major, she’s laying plans for her future post-golf, and it’s inspiring to see her handle both academics and athletics with such poise. Coming from a supportive family as their only child, she’s developed a strong sense of resilience that reflects in her gameplay.

The Road Ahead

As Twitty wraps up her final season, all eyes are on this talented golfer. The Bulls are loading up on their hopes as she continues to deliver exceptional performances. Sportscasters, fans, and golf aficionados alike are eagerly watching to see how her story unfolds. Whether she’s sinking birdies or earning accolades, Twitty is truly a golfer to watch, and she’s certainly leaving her mark on the USF Bulls legacy.

What a season it has been for Twitty! With her dedication and skill, there’s no doubt she’ll continue to shine on the greens and off!
