SAVANNAH, Ga. – Students in the lowcountry getting to show off their skills! Monday, the University of South Carolina’s Beaufort campus hosted their annual Student Research & Scholarship Day event to showcase the research and scholarship activities of their students.

Students join with faculty mentors to create posters and presentations, all leading up to a keynote address.

Expanding Event

“This is our 15th year of this event and I have been apart of this committee for the past 10 years. And it has grown from a small handful of students, you know, 30 posters, 40 posters and it just keeps exploding,” a faculty member mentioned.

The event highlights the hard work and dedication of the students and their mentors, giving them a platform to showcase their research and scholarship activities.

Additionally, the event serves as a reminder of the importance of research and scholarship in academia, encouraging students to continue their pursuit of knowledge and innovation.

Looking Forward

As the event concluded, students and faculty expressed excitement for future opportunities to engage in research and scholarship, further contributing to the academic community at the University of South Carolina’s Beaufort campus.
