A Roller Coaster First Inning

The game started on a high note for Carolina, as they jumped out to an early lead by scoring three runs in the first inning. Robbie Smith electrified the crowd with a two-run homer, and Danny Gonzalez kept the momentum going with an RBI single. But before anyone could take a deep breath, the Knights responded swiftly.

Knights Strike Back!

In the top of the second inning, the Knights got to work, scoring two quick runs to even things up. Caden Santucci delivered the first blow with a two-RBI double. Not wanting to be outdone, they continued the charge in the top of the third inning. That’s when Josh Zambito stepped up and smashed a two-run homer, sending the Knights ahead 4-3.

Fifth Inning Explosion!

The game took an exciting turn in the top of the fifth inning when the Knights exploded for an incredible 10 runs, sending an impressive 13 batters to the plate. This stunning inning featured a series of plays that had fans buzzing! Garrett Wolff initiated the offensive onslaught with a two-RBI double, followed up by an RBI single from Eric Cantu.

Things got even more interesting when Garrett Hamby managed to earn an RBI by getting hit by a pitch, and Zambito racked up another RBI with a walk. But wait—there’s more! Enter Kanan Treece, who blasted a breathtaking grand slam, and Wolff added a homer of his own, rounding off the remarkable inning. Talk about teamwork!

Dominating Performance

By the end of the game, St. Andrews had outperformed Carolina in almost every area, outhitting them 9-5. The Knights also drew six walks compared to just one for the Bruins, and their pitching staff did a stellar job in maintaining control throughout the game.

Jonathan Foster secured the win on the mound for St. Andrews, giving up just one run over three innings while striking out four batters and walking none. Meanwhile, Chase Lee took the loss for the Bruins.

What’s Next for the Knights?
