Friday Night Football Results from Southeast Texas
This past Friday night brought another thrilling round of high school football across Southeast Texas. Here’s a recap of which teams came out on top in Week 8.
In a big matchup, Port Arthur Memorial defeated West Brook with a final score of 42 to 14. The strong performance from Port Arthur keeps their hopes alive in the season.
Barbers Hill had a standout game, scoring 69 points against Beaumont United, who managed to put 24 points on the board. This impressive victory places Barbers Hill in a solid position as the season progresses.
In a nail-biting finish, Nederland narrowly lost to Lake Creek with a score of 43 to 45. This close game had fans on the edge of their seats.
Port Neches-Groves achieved a convincing win against West Fork, shutting them out with a score of 37 to 0.
Vidor showcased their skills by taking down Lumberton with a score of 34 to 7.
Other notable scores included Little Cypress-Mauriceville defeating Liberty by 38 to 7, and Silsbee crushing Tarkington with a score of 44 to 3.
Huffman-Hargrave dominated Hardin-Jefferson in a high-scoring affair, finishing at 70 to 41. Meanwhile, Hamshire-Fannett secured a strong win against Jasper, 42 to 20.
Fans also witnessed Bridge City beat Livingston with a score of 32 to 20, and West Orange-Stark convincingly defeated Shepherd with a score of 62 to 16.
Orangefield claimed a solid victory against Kirbyville, ending the game at 49 to 14, while East Chambers defeated Coldspring-Oakhurst with a score of 47 to 18.
In another strong showing, Anahuac won against Buna, finishing with a score of 21 to 0. Newton also had a decisive win over Kountze at 46 to 7.
Woodville played well too, beating Anderson-Shiro with a score of 48 to 27. Deweyville showed their strength with a 35 to 3 victory over Evadale.
Rounding out the night, West Hardin secured a win against Sabine Pass, finishing the game with a score of 43 to 14.
