The annual North-South All-Star games are set to take place on June 5 at Lexington High School, where selected players will showcase their skills.

The list of players chosen for the all-state recognition is extensive, featuring exceptional talent from various high schools. Notable players include Laila Landrum from Woodmont, Ellanie Yarrell from Byrnes, Sarah Rocheleau from Catawba Ridge, and Sam Craig from Lexington. The full roster includes 80 players recognized for their outstanding performance throughout the season, reflecting the depth of talent in South Carolina’s high school softball.

The North-South All-Star games will consist of two matches on June 5. The first game is scheduled to start at 9:00 AM, followed by the presentation of All-State plaques. The second game, set to kick off at 11:00 AM, will also see the distribution of plaques to the honorees. These games serve as a celebration of athletic excellence and teamwork within the sport.

Coaching duties for the All-Star teams are divided among several respected figures in the softball community. For the North 5A/2A/1A teams, Cal Sayger of Chapin and Joey Middlebrooks of Ridge Spring-Monetta will be at the helm. Meanwhile, the South 5A/2A/1A teams will be coached by Steve Hodge from Socastee and Brandy Huggins from Lake View. The North and South 4A/3A teams will have Rick Pate from Seneca and Amber Harvey from Hartsville leading their respective teams. The inclusion of such experienced coaches is expected to enhance the level of competition during the All-Star games.

This year, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Honoree for the 2025 Softball All-Star Games will be Reuben Eargle from Gilbert, recognized for their significant contributions to the sport.

In addition to the All-Star games, SCAWS will hold the SCCAWS Player of the Year Banquet on June 11 at The Cotton Press located at 199 W. Church St., Little Mountain, SC. This event will further honor the achievements of female athletes in South Carolina’s softball landscape.

To support women’s athletics, an annual SCCAWS Golf Tournament is scheduled for June 12 at Ponderosa Golf Club. This tournament aims to raise funds for female athletes, with organizers calling for participants to register in foursomes.
