South Carolina Highway Patrol Seeks Public Assistance in Fatal Hit and Run Case in Beaufort County

The appalling accident, involving an unidentified vehicle and a pedestrian, occurred on Monday, June 24 around 10:00 PM, on the usually busy SC-170 (Okatie Highway) near US-278.

The entire incident unfolded on SC-170 (Okatie Highway) near US-278. The suspect vehicle, believed to be a 2007-2009 model of a Toyota Camry, struck the pedestrian, leading to the tragic fatality. However, the specific color of the suspect vehicle remains unknown at this stage of investigation.

Following the fatal encounter, the suspect vehicle was last spotted proceeding west on SC-170 towards Bluffton.
