Columbia, Missouri – Rock Bridge High School is buzzing with excitement as several standout student athletes have announced where they will continue their athletic careers after graduation.
Girl’s basketball star Mari Miller confirmed that she will be taking her talents to the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Despite facing an injury that will keep her out of her senior season, Miller is enthusiastic about her future. “I’m going to take confidence into UAB,” she said. “I think the staff, the players, everyone has so much confidence in me. I think my confidence has grown as a person because of them.” With numerous single-season and career records to her name at Rock Bridge, Miller will be missed on the court but leaves with a positive outlook.
Teammate and sharpshooter Eli Porter is headed to Wofford College to continue her basketball career. Porter credits Coach Nagel for elevating her game and believes her experiences at Rock Bridge will prepare her for success at the collegiate level. “Coach Nagel as a coach has taken my game to the next level and being able to present that at the collegiate level will separate me,” Porter stated.
In volleyball news, Ava Renner has decided to join Kansas Wesleyan University, while her teammate Caylee Coggins plans to head north to Madison College in Wisconsin.
On the softball field, stars Bella Stephens and Addie Morris are also moving on to compete at the next level. Stephens will be playing for Saint Louis University, and Morris will join the team at the University of Southern Arkansas.
These announcements highlight the incredible talent coming out of Rock Bridge and showcase the bright futures ahead for these student athletes as they transition to collegiate sports.
