Raleigh Trio Shines in NCAA Regional Tournament
Raleigh – The University of South Carolina had three standout players named to the 2024 NCAA Raleigh Regional All-Tournament team. Cole Messina, Dylan Brewer, and Ethan Petry were recognized for their exceptional performances throughout the tournament, with each making significant contributions to the team’s success.
Cole Messina
Cole Messina made a lasting impact with a game-tying home run in a thrilling 10-inning victory over James Madison. In addition to his clutch hit, Messina reached base six times over the weekend and showcased his defensive skills by throwing out three runners attempting to steal in the pivotal win.
Dylan Brewer
Dylan Brewer’s power at the plate was on full display during the tournament, as he blasted two home runs in the game against NC State. Brewer continued his hot streak with another key hit against James Madison, further solidifying his spot on the All-Tournament team.
Ethan Petry
Ethan Petry demonstrated his offensive prowess by going 3-for-7 in the regional, including two doubles and an impressive .556 on-base percentage. His consistent production at the plate earned him a well-deserved spot on the All-Tournament team.
