High School Football Rankings Update: Omaha Dominates

Omaha, NE – As the high school football season winds down, excitement is building among local fans. After week eight of the 2024 season, the latest rankings from the Nebraska High School Football Coaches Poll have sparked interest in the teams battling for the top spots. Omaha Westside has held the lead, remaining undefeated with an impressive record of 8-0. Following closely behind, Millard South and Kearney both boast strong performances, each with records of 7-1.

The rankings highlight the competitiveness of the season, as teams like Elkhorn South and Omaha North also perform well, with both securing a 6-2 record. Other schools such as Omaha Central and Bellevue West, sitting at 5-3, look to turn their seasons around as they push towards the playoffs.

In Class B, Seward and Skutt Catholic prove to be strong contenders, both with records of 8-0. They are closely followed by Bennington and Elkhorn North, who share a 7-1 record. It’s a tight race as these teams work towards solidifying their positions for the state championships.

For Class C1, Norfolk Catholic remains undefeated at 8-0, along with Stanton, showing their dominance in the rankings. Meanwhile, Archangels Catholic leads Class D with a perfect 8-0 record as well. The upcoming weeks will certainly be filled with thrilling matchups as teams strive for victory and an opportunity to compete for the title.

Fans are also encouraged to participate in voting for the Pinnacle Bank Game of the Week, adding an interactive element to the exciting high school football atmosphere. Voting is open each week and allows supporters to have a say in which game receives extensive coverage.
