Neenah Sweeps Fox Valley Association Cross Country Meet with Dominant Performances

Neenah Dominates at Fox Valley Association Cross Country Meet

KAUKAUNA – The Neenah boys cross country team put on a stunning performance at the Fox Valley Association conference meet held at Countryside Golf Course. They claimed the top six finishing spots and achieved a perfect score of 15. The team’s strong showing helped them secure the championship, leaving Kimberly in second place with 55 points. Neenah’s Zach Verhagen clinched the victory in the boys’ race, finishing with a time of 16:10.1, followed closely by teammate Braedy Klawikowski at 16:41.0.

The Neenah girls didn’t lag behind, also winning their title with a total of 26 points and placing three runners in the top five. Kimberly again claimed second, finishing with 78 points. Mazie Olkowski of Neenah took the girls’ race with a time of 18:29.8, just narrowly beating Eva Busch of Appleton North, who finished in 18:30.0.

The final points for the girls was as follows: Neenah 26, Kimberly 78, Appleton North 111, and Kaukauna 122, among others. In the boys’ race, Neenah 15, Kimberly 55, Appleton North 130, and Kaukauna 145 rounded out the competition.

The success didn’t stop there. At the Eastern Wisconsin Conference meet, the Two Rivers boys team had a strong showing, finishing first with 35 points. Chilton came in a close second with 39. Eli Gallagher from Two Rivers took the individual victory, clocking in at 16:32.88.

On the girls’ side, Kiel claimed the title with 44 points, led by Hannah Welch of Valders who won with a time of 19:28.08. The competition was intense across the board, showcasing impressive talent from all teams.

In conclusion, the day at the Fox Valley Association and Eastern Wisconsin Conference meets highlighted not just individual talent but also the strength of team efforts across the region. Both Neenah and Two Rivers demonstrated extraordinary capabilities, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.
