Minneapolis – Exciting basketball games took place across Minnesota high schools as teams battled it out on the court for wins this week. One of the standout games featured Hopkins, showcasing their talent with a huge victory over Princeton, finishing 93 to 38. Their sharp shooting and solid defense left no doubt that they are a force to watch this season.
In the NORTHWEST SUBURBAN conference, Centennial took down Spring Lake Park with a convincing score of 63 to 47, while Delano outperformed Buffalo with a final score of 71 to 48. Eden Prairie continued their impressive run, securing a 72 to 55 victory against Eagan.
In other thrilling matches, Forest Lake edged out Andover in a nail-biter, winning 78 to 74. On the girls’ side, Holy Angels defeated Mpls. Southwest 79 to 57, while Mahtomedi dominated Cooper, winning 81 to 21.
The Hockey boys had their share of action too. Hill-Murray crushed Mahtomedi with a staggering score of 9 to 1, cementing their position among top contenders. Mound Westonka also celebrated a huge win against Bloom. Kennedy, finishing 16 to 1.
The girls’ hockey teams were equally fierce, featuring Farmington narrowly defeating Lakeville South by 2 to 1, and Prior Lake triumphing over Lakeville North in a thrilling overtime match that ended 6 to 5.
