High School Sports Roundup from Cincinnati
This week in Cincinnati high school sports has been filled with exciting matchups across various sports. Here’s a look at the results from the most recent games.
Volleyball
In volleyball, Bellevue dominated Gamble Montessori with a decisive score of 46-0. Badin showed their strength as they defeated Edgewood in straight sets 25-19, 25-12, 25-18. Other notable matches included Kings taking down West Clermont 25-21, 25-16, 25-22 and Anderson overwhelming Winton Woods with a score of 25-11, 25-8, 25-6.
McNicholas also had a strong performance against Sycamore, winning 25-9, 25-10, 25-9. Hamilton edged out Western Brown 25-18, 25-19, 27-25 while Taylor maintained their undefeated streak, beating Wyoming 25-20, 25-16, 25-14.
Soccer
In soccer, St. Ursula faced off against Badin, winning with a close score of 2-1 thanks to goals from Costa and Priestle. Oak Hills managed a 1-0 victory over Madeira, with Sullivan scoring the only goal of the match.
Reading had a fantastic showing, defeating Norwood with a resounding 6-0 score, highlighted by two goals from Allen and Vance. Winton Woods also secured a 2-0 win against Western Hills, and Cincinnati Christian dominated Purcell Marian, winning 6-0.
Cooper had a commanding performance against Holmes, where they won 11-0, showcasing their offensive firepower with multiple players on the score sheet.
Golf
In the OHSAA Division III district tournament, National Trail qualified for the next round, finishing first with a score of 315. Seven Hills closely followed in second at 317. In individual scores, Ethan Argus from Cincinnati Country Day shot an impressive 68 to lead the day.
The OHSAA Division I sectional tournament also produced strong performances, with Springboro taking the top spot at 307, followed by Centerville at 309. Aidem Standifer from Franklin led the individual scores with a 71.
