Friday, March 15 – A Night of Theatre and Music

Starting the week on a high note, Harbison Theatre at Midlands Technical College is partnering with WOW Productions to present a must-watch gospel play titled “If You Only Knew: Why I Struggle to Trust God” at 7:30 p.m. At Bill’s Music Shop & Pickin’ Parlor, music enthusiasts can enjoy the strains of the Edgar Loudermilk Band, appreciated country-wide for their bluegrass tunes, at 8 pm.

Saturday, March 16 – A Jam-Packed Day of Action

Lexington High School is organizing a race named “Race Against Hunger“, a fundraiser for Mission Lexington at 8 a.m. Those interested in arts and crafts can head over to the SC State Farmer’s Market for the “2024 Spring Arts & Crafts Extravaganza”, a free family event with over 150 vendors that runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Meanwhile, Blythewood Spring Artisan Market at Doko Meadows Park promises a unique selection of handmade craft items and baked goods from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Music lovers can round off their day at the Chayz Lounge in West Columbia for “An Evening of Soul Jazz Grooves” by George Freeman at 8 p.m.

Sunday, March 17 – A Day of Music and Celebration

Continue your fun-filled weekend on St. Patrick’s Day with the Shamrock Jam hosted at Steel Hands Brewing from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event features amazing performances by Sean Mills, Electric Sparrows, and Adam Knight’s Buried Alive. Following this, head over to Savage Craft Ale Works to enjoy the tunes of local artist, Colton Beasley, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m, and end the day with a performance by local pop-rock act, Prettier Than Matt, at O’Hara’s Public House at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, March 19 – A Peek into the Past

Interested in local history? The Lexington Main Library is hosting the “Historically Speaking” series, a collaboration with the Lexington County Museum that promises to be a fascinating expedition into the rich history of Lexington County from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, March 21 – A Feast for the Foodies

The highlight of the week for foodies is going to be the “Taste Of Lake Murray”, an event featuring live music, a silent auction, and the opportunity to sample culinary delights from around the region at DoubleTree by Hilton from 6 p.m. onwards. Guests get to vote for their favorite chef who could join Team Lake Murray Country at the World Food Championships.
