Kaukauna Dominates in Regional Semifinals, Advances in Playoffs

High School Volleyball Regional Semifinals Recap

Kaukauna – In an impressive display of teamwork and skill, the third-seeded Ghosts dominated the Appleton West Terrors with a decisive score of 25-13, 25-14, 25-6 in the regional semifinals. This strong victory brings the Ghosts’ season record to 27-8, while Appleton West wraps up their season at 2-22. Madison Tripp was a standout for Kaukauna, posting a double-double with 15 assists and 10 digs. Delaney Ward made her mark with seven kills, and Keira Plate contributed with five kills. The Ghosts are set to face Green Bay Southwest in the regional final this Saturday.

Appleton – The Lightning also had a successful outing, defeating the Hornets with scores of 25-23, 25-15, 25-14. With this win, Appleton North improves to 17-20 and will advance to take on Xavier, who finished their match with a 25-19, 25-20, 25-18 win over the Jaguars. Sydney Neilitz led the way for Xavier with 29 assists, while Madison Daley and Grace Hackl had significant performances with 12 kills and 13 digs respectively.

Neenah – The Rockets also had a clean sweep against the Golden Raiders, winning by scores of 25-12, 25-11, 25-14. They’ll compete against Oshkosh West for the regional title. Meanwhile, a similar fate was seen at the Waupaca match where the Comets overcame Antigo with scores of 25-18, 25-8, 25-15 to also advance to regional finals.

Freeport – The third-seeded Irish managed to beat the sixth-seeded Vikings 25-17, 25-16, 25-17 and will look forward to their next match against second-seeded Bay Port. Additionally, the fourth-seeded Falcons won against the seventh-seeded Irish team in another brisk match.

Several other schools, such as the Spartans, Phantoms, and Hatchets, also enjoyed victories during the semifinals, setting a lively stage for the upcoming regional finals this Saturday.
